  • Conor C. Kelly
    Conor C. Kelly Managing Director Dublin Office

    Mr. Kelly is a Managing Director and founding Partner of Rubicon Infrastructure Advisors. He has over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry, the last 15 of which have been as a specialist infrastructure M&A and project finance investment banker.

    Prior to establishing Rubicon, Mr. Kelly was a Managing Director and Head of Scotia Capital's Global Infrastructure Investment business where he was responsible for infrastructure advisory teams in New York, London and Sao Paulo covering the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia. Prior to joining Scotia Capital, he was a Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure (Americas) at DEPFA Bank plc.

    Mr. Kelly has advised, structured or arranged over US$30 billion worth of infrastructure M&A and project finance transactions around the world and within all the key infrastructure sectors. He is a recognized expert within the infrastructure market and is a common speaker and lecturer on the subject of infrastructure procurement, M&A, advisory and structuring.

  • Jesus Gonzalez Torrijos
    Jesus Gonzalez Torrijos Managing Director Dublin Office

    Mr. Gonzalez is a Managing Director and Partner of Rubicon Infrastructure Advisors with over 19 years experience in the financial services industry as an infrastructure and project finance investment banker.

    Prior to joining Rubicon, Mr. Gonzalez was Head of Global Lending Americas at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria ("BBVA") where he was responsible for BBVA's lending and advisory activities in the Americas and managed a balance sheet in excess of US$60 billion, with responsibility for teams located in New York, Houston, Dallas, Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Chile. Prior to holding this position, Mr. Gonzalez was BBVA New York's Head of Structured Finance Americas where he managed BBVA's project and structured finance businesses throughout the Americas. Mr. Gonzalez has also held positions as a Member of the Board of BBVA Securities Inc. and Global Head of Infrastructure Finance in BBVA Madrid where he ran BBVA's infrastructure business, including lending and advisory activities.

    Mr. Gonzalez has either arranged or advised on over US$25 billion of investment in transportation, energy, renewable energy, environmental and social infrastructure projects throughout the Americas and Europe. Mr. Gonzalez has extensive lecturing experience and frequently speaks at conferences worldwide.

  • Barry Bowden
    Barry Bowden Managing Director Dublin Office

    Mr. Bowden is a Managing Director and Partner of Rubicon Infrastructure Advisors with over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry.

    Prior to joining Rubicon, Mr. Bowden was Head of Asset and Liability Management and Deputy Treasurer at Irish Life & Permanent plc. In this role his responsibilities included management of the balance sheet of the banking business, risk positioning and wholesale funding. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Bowden was Head of Trading at Irish Life & Permanent plc. Mr. Bowden has managed the issuance of numerous types of funding transactions, both public and private, including senior, subordinated, government guaranteed and asset backed. He has also managed several restructurings and liability management projects.

  • Carmen Lopez
    Carmen Lopez Managing Director Dublin Office

    Mrs. Lopez is a Managing Director and Partner of Rubicon Infrastructure Advisors, with over 15 years' of combined experience in M&A, financial advisory, project finance and PPP/PFI in various sectors including transportation, renewables, environmental and social infrastructure.

    Prior to joining Rubicon, Mrs. Lopez was a Director and Co-Head of Scotia Capital's Infrastructure team in Latin America where her responsibilities included infrastructure M&A, as well as debt and equity arranging for the whole of the Latin American market. Prior to joining Scotia Capital, Mrs. Lopez was a Director & Head of Latin America at DEPFA Bank plc. where she provided financial advisory and debt arrangement services for infrastructure projects in the Americas and Iberia. Mrs. Lopez has advised, structured or arranged over US$15 billion worth of infrastructure M&A and project finance transactions around the world and within all the key infrastructure sectors.

    Prior to taking up her position at DEPFA, Mrs. Lopez worked for a Spanish construction company as the head of project finance responsible for structuring, negotiating and executing project financing transactions in the transportation, environmental and real estate sectors in Spain and around the world including South America and Australia. Prior to this, Mrs. Lopez worked in Arthur Andersen advising private companies in concession bids and project financing in areas of infrastructure and utilities.

  • Aeneas Griffin
    Aeneas Griffin Managing Director Dublin Office

    Mr. Griffin is a Managing Director and Partner of Rubicon Infrastructure Advisors, with over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry.

    Prior to joining Rubicon, Mr. Griffin held the title of Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch with co-responsibility for a team dedicated to the origination and portfolio management of structured finance transactions across multiple asset classes (auto, equipment, credit card, timeshare and rental car) and jurisdictions (U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia).

    Before this, Mr. Griffin was a Director at MBIA, Inc. where his duties included various asset management and treasury activities related to the company's asset-backed commercial paper and medium-term note vehicles as well as developing an entry-strategy for public-sector lending in Europe. Mr. Griffin has extensive experience in creating complex structures, whether needed to efficiently fund investments with unusual characteristics or tailored to clients' unique needs. Mr. Griffin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

  • Dr. Christian Kummert
    Dr. Christian Kummert Managing Director Dublin Office

    Dr. Kummert has over 20 years of experience in infrastructure finance, with responsibility for leading large teams covering multiple sectors and jurisdictions in some of Europe's most active project finance lending institutions.

    Prior to joining Rubicon, Dr. Kummert worked as Head of the Energy and Infrastructure Division of HSH-Nordbank in Hamburg and as Head of the Financing Division of Kommunalkredit Austria in Vienna. Dr. Kummert was previously Global Head of the Infrastructure/PPP Division of Commerzbank in Frankfurt and Managing Director in the Infrastructure Finance Unit of Depfa Bank in Dublin. Prior to this he was responsible for project finance transactions in power and air transport with ABB Structured Finance.

    Dr. Kummert has also gained significant experience in the international electricity markets from his former post as deputy head of the tariff section of the German Association of Electricity Utilities (VDEW). Prior to joining VDEW, Dr. Kummert worked as a consultant for the economic department of Lahmeyer International, involved as advisor in areas such as energy, telecoms and real estate development.

  • Maria Kang
    Maria Kang Managing Director New York Office

    Ms. Kang has over 20 years combined experience in the financial services industry in corporate finance, structured finance and as an infrastructure and project finance banker. Prior to joining Rubicon, Ms. Kang was a Managing Director within the Global Infrastructure team of Scotia Capital in New York where she was responsible for advising on equity investment opportunities in the infrastructure sector globally as well as working on North American PPP transactions as advisor and lender. Prior to joining Scotia Capital, Ms. Kang was a Director at DEPFA Bank's Infrastructure Finance Unit, as a financial advisor and senior debt provider for projects in both the U.S. and Canada. Ms. Kang has worked on numerous infrastructure financings in various sectors including surface transportation, airports, hospitals, parking, ports and healthcare.

    Prior to DEPFA, Ms. Kang worked at MBIA Insurance Corp. and Chase Manhattan Bank. At MBIA, Ms. Kang worked in the structured finance group responsible for business origination, credit analysis and execution of structured financings and at Chase in their Corporate Finance Unit working on execution and analysis of transactions in various industries.

    Ms. Kang earned a Bachelor of Arts at Wellesley College and a Masters in Business Administration at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

  • Peter O’Neill
    Peter O’Neill Managing Director New York Office

    Mr. O'Neill has over 20 years' experience in the financial services industry, the last 15 of which have been spent within the Infrastructure sector. Prior to joining Rubicon, Mr. O'Neill was Managing Director and Head of Project Finance, North America, at Bank of Ireland, where he established the bank's New York based Project Finance lending activities for the United States and Canada. At Bank of Ireland, his responsibilities included the origination and structuring of debt facilities for transactions in the Mass Transit, Road, Hospital, Education, Aviation and Energy sectors.

    Previously, Mr. O’Neill held positions with KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dublin and New York.

    Mr. O’Neill holds an honours degree in Business Studies from Trinity College, Dublin and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
